Adele Luta is a scientist and innovator. She is currently an Exploration Extravehicular Activities Integration Manager for Oceaneering International, Inc. Previously, she worked at the NASA Johnson Space Flight Center as a certified Mission Control Center flight controller and astronaut instructor supporting spacewalks for the Space Shuttle and International Space Station programs.
Adele graduated from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2002 and Case Western Reserve University in 2004 with B.S. and M.S. degrees in Physics. Her training as a physicist has allowed her to support several organizations including DARPA, NIH, MIT, and NATO S&T. She is passionate about improving technology, training, and operations in time-limited, life-critical, and restricted communication environments.
Outside of work, she volunteers with a nonprofit as a coral restoration SCUBA diver helping to restore our oceans and an Explorers Club member. She and her husband are dog lovers and avid readers.
