Manager, Exploration Medical Capability in the Human Research Program

Nancy Fleming has worked with NASA for 25+ years. Her first 15 years were in Mission Operations where she performed and managed technical and integration work for the Shuttle, ISS and Constellation Programs. Ms. Fleming then spent 6 years operating as a Program Consultant for Orion’s European Space Agency’s Integration Office, the Orbital Debris Program Office and the Human Research Program (HRP). In 2018, Ms. Fleming joined the Human Research Program full-time as the manager of the Exploration Medical Capability (ExMC) element. In this role, she leads and partners with distributed teams of physicians/clinicians, scientists and engineers from government, academia, and industry that conduct a host of research and development activities that inform the design and impacts of medical systems and pharmaceuticals on human function in deep space.
